Terms and Conditions
Deposit - A refundable deposit of £500 is payable on booking. This is in addition to the hire fee. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The deposit will be refunded on return of the puppets, stands and crates clean & undamaged. The Puppets must be returned to us in the same condition as they were supplied to you. All damages must be paid for and the costs of repairs or cleaning will be deducted from your Deposit. If the costs of repair exceeds the Deposit you will be responsible for the excess and you agree to pay the balance within 30 days of invoice should this happen. Hires of more than one week may require a larger deposit.
You must nominate a person in your company who will sign the contract and take personal responsibility for these terms.
Payment - The Rental Fee must be paid in full 30 days prior to the commencement of the Rental Period. Failure to pay the Rental Fee by this time will result in the cancellation of your booking and termination of our Agreement. Your Deposit will be forfeit and the total amount of the outstanding balance will be due.
All payments to be made by bank transfer - We do not accept cheques or credit cards. If you send a cheque we may refuse it or charge a £25 processing fee which will be deducted from your deposit.
Insurance - It is your responsibility to insure the Puppets against loss or damage for the whole period they are in your possession – including when they are in transit. You will need to provide us with evidence of insurance prior to taking delivery of the Puppets.
Transport - You will need to arrange collection and return from South Hertfordshire. You will need a van as they travel in 16 crates. Each crate is 27 x 18 x 15 inches. Two of them are larger. There is also a stand for each character that travels loose. We recommend a van around the size of a Hi sided Transit. It needs to be big enough to take the stands. You will not be able to take the puppets without the stands.
Stands - You must not put your feet on the base of the stands. Any clean up resulting from this will be charged at £75 - paid from your deposit. Lost or damaged stands will be charged for.
Design - We reserve the right to change the look or design of the puppets from time to time.
Care - You must keep the puppets in a cigarette smoke free environment. Cleaning of smoke contamination will be charged for.
You must keep the puppets on the stands or in their crates when not in use. They must be covered with their supplied bags and locked in a secure room overnight. They must not be laid down on tables but always returned to their stands when not in use. Keep drinks and food well away from the area where the puppets are kept.
You must not remove any of the costumes except where described in the instructions that will come with the puppets
You agree to send the person caring for the puppets for a session with Paul Jomain.
Use of Puppets -The puppets must only be used in performance of the show Avenue Q or in photos to promote the show.
